Dr. Nasreen Iqbal Kasana hails from the nestled Shivalik Hills at the crown of India’s map, Jammu and Kashmir, a region whose landscapes, cultures, and lived realities profoundly shape her intellectual and literary sensibilities. She completed her Master’s in English Literature from Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University in 2018 and earned her PhD in the field of Arts and Humanities in 2026. She has also qualified prestigious national-level examinations such as UGC-NET and GATE in English Literature, reflecting her academic commitment and scholarly rigor.

Her research interests are rooted in literature, identity, marginalization, tribal studies, environmental consciousness, and contemporary socio-cultural discourses. Through her academic engagements, she attempts to critically examine the intersections between culture, ecology, and the lived experiences of communities situated at the margins of mainstream narratives, particularly in the context of Jammu and Kashmir.

Dr. Kasana actively participates in seminars, conferences, and academic dialogues through the presentation of research papers and scholarly writings. Her work reflects a deep engagement with critical theory, cultural studies, and contemporary literary thought. Alongside her academic pursuits, she also expresses a keen interest in understanding the evolving relationship between society, media, and human consciousness in the contemporary age.
