PhD Scholar, University of Kashmir

Muttahir Aman is a doctoral researcher in Biotechnology at the University of Kashmir, working within the Department of Biotechnology along with the Vaccine Biotechnology Lab at SKUAST-K. His research focuses on avian virology and vaccinology, with particular attention to the development of cross-protective vaccine candidates against circulating viral strains. His current work engages with chimeric vaccine platforms for Infectious Bronchitis Virus, addressing challenges of strain variation and immunological coverage.

He completed his integrated BSc–MSc in Biotechnology from the Central University of Kashmir. He has qualified national-level examinations including GATE (Biotechnology) and JKSET. He is also a member of the International Veterinary Vaccinology Network (IVVN), contributing to a wider research community in veterinary vaccine development.

He has communicated research papers in journals such as Springer Nature publications, Archives of Microbiology, and Infection. His technical training includes hands-on experience with molecular and cellular techniques such as PCR, qPCR, and flow cytometry. Alongside his research, he has mentored students in laboratory and academic settings.

His interests extend to science communication and public engagement. He runs a YouTube channel, StudyBits, where he shares accessible content on biotechnology topics.
