Publication Mentorship

Qurtuba Circle offers one-to-one publication mentorship for undergraduate and postgraduate students preparing academic papers for submission. This is a paid academic writing mentorship service conducted by contributors who have published in journals, edited volumes, and other academic forums.

The service is designed for students working on research papers, dissertations, or term papers who intend to publish their work. Each participant is paired with a contributor whose expertise aligns with the subject area of the paper.

The mentorship is organised as a structured process. It includes guidance on argument development, organisation of the paper, use of sources, citation practices, and preparation for journal submission. The aim is to bring the student’s work to a publishable standard while ensuring that authorship and intellectual responsibility remain with the student.

How the publication mentorship process works

The process begins with an initial submission. Students may submit a research idea, a draft paper, or a completed manuscript. Based on this, Qurtuba Circle assigns a mentor whose work aligns with the subject.

The first stage focuses on the central argument and structure of the paper. Feedback addresses gaps in reasoning, organisation of sections, and clarity of the research question. The student revises the paper based on this input.

Later stages focus on paragraph-level organisation, integration of sources, citation style, and formatting. Mentors will also guide students in identifying suitable academic journals or platforms for submission.
